Tour operator, All Leisure Holidays Limited (trading as Voyages of Discovery) has been forced to pay damages to several holidaymakers who suffered illness whilst onboard The MV Odysseus between 18 August 1999 and 30 August 1999.
Many of the passengers affected had complaints about the food and reported that it was undercooked and not served at the correct temperature. Some of the passengers also raised concerns that the waiters serving the food also appeared to be suffering the same symptoms as many of the passengers.
Some Claimants have ongoing symptoms and have been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. One such holidaymaker was diagnosed as suffering from Salmonella and continues to experience symptoms that she may be left with for the rest of her life. With the help of Irwin Mitchell, she recovered damages for the illness and ruined holiday.
