A 45-year-old disabled man has received a £4,984 out of Court Settlement from Stagecoach Western Trains Limited for personal injuries he sustained in a tripping accident which took place at Salisbury Train Station.
Our client was walking toward the train station with the aid of crutches when he tripped and fell over a raised broken paving slab. He lost his balance and fell onto his outstretched hands.
As a result of the accident he sustained multiple factures to fingers on his left hand.
Toni Knott, Solicitor, of Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham Office pursued a claim against Stagecoach Western Trains Limited for failure to maintain their property. Mrs Knott stated that “had the Company had an adequate system of inspection and repair in place that they adhered to, this accident could have been prevented”.
