Mr O from Nottingham suffered an exacerbation of pre-existing eczema/dermatitis during his employment with a Derbyshire Stone/Brick making company. Due to an adverse reaction to wet cement which Mr O was exposed to in his employment his eczema/dermatitis spread throughout his arms, legs, back and torso.
Thanks to the work of our specialist solicitors, Mr O received a high 4-figure settlement.
Lee Carnall of Irwin Mitchell Solicitors added, "Wet cement is a very dangerous substance to expose workers to without adequate protection. My client has suffered possibly permanent worsening of his eczema/dermatitis due to his exposure in his employment.
"Employers should take extra care to provide employees with adequate personal protective equipment to ensure that incidents such as this do not continue."
If you've developed occupational dermatitis, our personal injury solicitors could help you claim compensation. Visit our Occupational Dermatitis Compensation Claims page for more information.
