Our Military Compensation Claim’s Team successfully helped this soldier who was injured while on operations in Iraq.
The client was injured while on patrol in the rear of a Warrior vehicle when a colleague opened the rear door without warning resulting in our client’s right hand being trapped and crushed. The soldier had never received any training in regards to this military vehicle and the lights in the rear of the vehicle were broken so the client did not know where to place his hands safely.
Although the soldier was able to continue serving liability was initially denied by the MoD in respect of his military claim. However, after further investigation by the Irwin Mitchell Armed Forces team an out of court settled was agreed and the sum of £17,500 was awarded to this Army Corporal as a result of this military accident.
