If you’re experiencing changes or challenges within your family relationships, counselling could help. Our expert counsellor can help you to navigate emotional situations, enabling you to make informed decisions as you move forward.

We know how important family relationships can be to you, emotional strain and complexity are natural when those relationships change or face challenges.

Offering exceptional legal expertise is only one part of our role. We believe in prioritising your well-being and giving you an emotionally intelligent and holistic service to support all of your needs.

While our expert solicitors handle your legal case, our in-house counselling service provides practical, affordable, and professional emotional support.

How Can Our Counsellor Help You?

Our in-house client counsellor, Vicky Lambert, has over 14 years’ experience and her counselling sessions are entirely confidential and are completely separate to our legal services.

Vicky offers counselling virtually or she can meet you at our Southampton office if you’d prefer to meet in person.

You could benefit from our in-house counselling service if you’re:

  • Starting a new relationship and intending to live with or marry your new partner
  • Seeking legal advice about pre- or post-nuptial agreements
  • Experiencing family breakdown
  • Thinking about separating from your partner
  • Preparing for alternative dispute resolution (ADR) or court proceedings to resolve a divorce
  • Co-operating or co-parenting with an ex-partner
  • Experiencing domestic abuse or managing past trauma.

Whatever the legal aspect of your family situation, Vicky can help you develop a better understanding of yourself and others. Her support will enable you to make informed decisions at this important time in your life. Counselling could help you:

  • Come to terms with change and regain emotional balance
  • Process challenging emotions that may be hindering you
  • Create a plan to manage feelings of uncertainty or loss of control
  • Build your confidence and resilience
  • Coach you towards achieving a specific goal
  • Prepare emotionally and practically for different outcomes.

Vicky can only offer this service if you’re living in the UK. She also doesn’t offer couples counselling or advice about adoption. If you need support for one of these areas, our solicitors can also talk to you about other counselling options.

How Does It Work?

Our counselling and legal services are entirely separate. Your counsellor will never share any details of your meetings with your solicitor, and vice versa.

Our solicitors may recommend counselling to you if they feel it could be beneficial or you can also self-refer if you’d like to know more. Once referred, our in-house counsellor will contact you directly to arrange a 30-minute appointment to meet you and understand your needs in more detail.

You can then decide if you’d like to proceed and choose how many sessions you’d like to book.

You can arrange all your appointments directly with your counsellor. There are no minimum booking requirements for counselling sessions, and your counsellor will guide you on how many sessions you’ll likely need.

How Much Does It Cost?

We offer a 30 minute initial consultation with Vicky Lambert to help you decide if counselling is right for you. After that, Vicky charges £120 per 50 minute counselling session.

Sheffield conveyancers are simply the best!

Fast friendly and efficient service from Sheffield team all dealt with electronically due to distance with buying on south coast... The price quoted was fair, fixed and compared favourably against other large firms. Would definitely use again and recommend to anyone.

I would highly recommend this firm. My medical negligence claim was handled very well by my solicitors Margaret Ryan and Rebecca Haigh. They have kept me well informed…
