Biography
Steven is a Consultant in our Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure Projects team in Leeds. He formerly lead the team before moving to consultancy work.
Steven is an expert in construction and engineering law. His wide range of dispute resolution expertise helps his clients minimise the impact of disputes: he can be relied on to act pro-actively, practically and commercially, and utilise the dispute resolution technique most appropriate to the issue.
Steven's wide range of procurement experience helps his clients avoid or minimise the risk of disputes by ensuring that their interests are properly protected in construction and engineering contractual documents.
He has helped clients to protect their interests in building contracts, infrastructure contracts, PFI contracts, pre-contract agreements, professional appointments, collateral warranties and surety documents including bonds, guarantees and vesting certificates. For example he helped a client in this way with his advice on key construction projects for the Olympic Games in 2012.
