Biography
I'm a Associate Solicitor that specialises in serious injury/catastrophic claims having practised in Personal Injury for over 23 years.
I have in-depth experience in dealing with claims including road traffic, motorcycle and fatal collision claims, chronic pain and public and employer liability claims.
My main area of specialism is complex disputed motorcycle collision claims involving Accident Reconstruction evidence having gained extensive experience on case law surrounding motorcycle issues. I'd describe myself as a strong litigator.
I specialise in moderate to severe traumatic brain injuries involving neurological rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, poly-trauma, shoulder/clavicle fractures and complex knee injuries.
I primarily focus on the needs of the client to ensure they are in the centre of the rehabilitation process when dealing with third parties, case managers and treatment providers. I am committed to supporting my clients and achieving the best outcome in every case.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
Initially I wanted to be a Barrister and was inspired by the criminal courts system and essentially securing justice for individuals. After a short period of working at the CPS I was determined to then pursue a career in Serious Injury.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
It is a real privilege to be acting for clients who have suffered a life-changing injury and working together throughout the journey of the claim to the point where we are able to reach settlement of the claim. Due to the nature of these claims, it can be several years before we reach settlement of the claim and it is extremely rewarding to see the final result and the changes we have been able to make to not only the injured family but also their family.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell is a forward thinking firm who places clients at the forefront of a claim. With a wide range of services offered, clients can be assured they are in safe hands providing expertise in every aspect of the law.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
Aside from work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, eating out and when time permits, going to the gym.
I also chair the Manchester Young Professionals Netball League and Chair of the North West sub-committee of the Association of Asian Women Lawyers.
