Biography
I qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 and have specialised in the field of asbestos related disease since then. I represent clients who have developed a range of illnesses including mesothelioma, asbestos related lung cancer, asbestosis, asbestos related pleural thickening, pleural effusion and pleural plaques.
I pursue complex cases including those where asbestos exposure occurred with more than one employer and I'm skilled in tracing the insurers of organisations which ceased to exist many years ago.
I routinely secure funding to enable my clients to pay for private medical treatments, including immunotherapy. I endeavour to secure the highest possible award of compensation, as quickly as possible, as many of my clients wish to see their claims resolved during their lifetime, ensuring their families are financially secure.
I'm based at the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne office but see clients all over the North East and Cumbria.
What inspired you to get into law?
I've always had a strong sense of fairness and social justice. I felt a career in law would provide me with opportunities to help those who had been injured through no fault of their own.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I'm privileged to work with the most extraordinary clients every day. Knowing that I have provided the very best legal advice and the highest quality service to those whose lives have been turned upside down following the diagnosis of an asbestos related illness is hugely rewarding.

I enjoy being part of a client focused team, who collaborate and share our wide range of skills and experience. This enables me to provide expert legal advice to my clients in a friendly and understandable way.
What do you do away from the office?
Away from work I spend as much time as possible with my children and my dog.
