I am a paralegal specialising in Court of Protection and Education Law. Since joining Irwin Mitchell, I have been gaining experience making decisions for vulnerable adults and children who
I also assist with advising and representing parents on SEND appeals to the First Tier Tribunal and supporting parents with requests for EHCP assessments. I have a background in commercial property and construction law and have volunteered for various legal clinics such as Citizens Advice, and the Free Representation Unit, which has given me insight and experience into social welfare law.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is knowing that I can offer strategic and concrete solutions and action plans to what are often emotionally charged issues that vulnerable clients are distraught by. Knowing that my work amounts to an individual's benefit and the idea that it may ultimately improve their quality of life is what drives me to provide high-quality work.
