I specialise in both international illness claims and accidents abroad which involve foreign laws and jurisdictions. I have successfully acted for thousands of clients, ranging from incidents at hotels, cruises, road traffic accidents abroad and sexual assault.
I have dealt with numerous cases concerning illness outbreaks at hotels, and on cruises, caused by pathogens such as salmonella, campylobacter, cryptosporidium and norovirus. I have also dealt with cases involving E-coli and Legionnaires' disease.
I have an excellent track record of success and have been involved in achieving some fantastic results in relation to damages, costs and successfully winning cases at trial.
I was inspired to take up a career in law as I wanted to provide a voice to those that have been wronged.
The most rewarding aspect of my role is putting a smile on the face of my clients when justice has been obtained for them.
I embrace Irwin Mitchell’s five core values (pioneering and imaginative, approachable and caring, tenacious, efficient and integrity) and feel they capture the principle of providing exceptional support for our clients. Irwin Mitchell always puts clients first and the committed specialist teams work hard to achieve excellent outcomes for our clients.
I enjoy playing sports and travelling, especially to historic cities and sites.

“We are concerned by the account provided to us by our client and are now hard at work investigating the sequence of events which developed during her stay at the Playa Esperanza Hotel.
“As part of our work, we would be keen to hear from anyone else who may have stayed at the resort and can help with our enquiries.
“Our client is understandably frustrated by what she has been through and we are determined to help her gain answers regarding the ordeal.”

“This is a very concerning case which highlights the significant consequences that illness problems of this kind can have on those affected.
“Not only did our client’s illness have a major impact on what was meant to be a relaxing luxury break, but she also ran the risk of further serious health problems as a result of the symptoms she endured.
“We are already working hard to investigate the issues she faced and are determined to ensure she gains the answers she deserves regarding her ordeal. As part of our enquiries, we would be keen to hear from anyone else who may also have been affected.”
“We are concerned by the first-hand account of what our clients faced during what was meant to be an enjoyable and relaxing holiday for them both.
“A case of this nature demonstrates how serious gastric illness can be, with Maureen still suffering from the same symptoms weeks after returning home.
“We have now commenced our own investigations into the holiday illness and are keen to determine what can be done to ensure that they gain answers as to what caused Maureen to fall ill. As part of our investigation we would be keen to hear from anyone else who was affected or witnessed the problems at the Hotel Marlin Beach resort in Bulgaria.”
