In 2015, we launched our ‘Don’t Quit, Do It’ campaign, encouraging
people to use sport in the process of rehabilitation and recovery from
serious injury or trauma. This led to a partnership in support of the BT
World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge 2015 (WWRC15), which formed
part of the Rugby World Cup Festival. The tournament saw eight teams
battle it out to be crowned champions, including 2012 Paralympic Gold
medallists Australia, fellow Paralympic medallists Canada and USA,
alongside New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, France and hosts Great
Britain.
The fast and intensely competitive action took place at the iconic Copper
Box Arena, a venue within London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from
12-16 October 2015. The final was a dramatic showdown between
Canada and USA, with Canada finally emerging as the triumphant team.
It was a tremendous evening with Alison Eddy, managing partner in our
London office, handing out medals at the prize giving ceremony.
