Gurpreet Hayer Leads The Team At Irwin Mitchell
Property lawyers at national law firm Irwin Mitchell have advised global property advisers Knight Frank of the relocation of its Birmingham office to 103 Colmore Row.
Knight Frank has signed a 15-year lease to take 4,376 sq. ft, part of the 18th floor of the 26-storey building, with Sterling Property Ventures and Tristan Capital Partners.
Knight Frank is currently based at One Colmore Row, where it employs circa 50 people. It is set to move to its new office at the end of Q1 2022, increasing its occupation of office space in the city.
103 Colmore Row comprises 223,631 sq. ft of BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Grade A office space and is the first commercial building in Birmingham to achieve an EPC ‘A’ rating. At 108 metres, it is the tallest office development in the city.
Other occupiers in the building are wealth management and professional services group Tilney Smith & Williamson, business and financial advisers Grant Thornton, law firm Shoosmiths, and workspace provider x+why, which will operate 31,500 sq. ft of flexible office space on the first, second and third floors. x+why will also operate the members’ business club on the 18th floor. The two-storey top floor restaurant and ground floor café will both be operated by D&D London.
The Irwin Mitchell team was led by Birmingham based, Property Senior Associate Gurpreet Hayer, supported by Victoria Tague ( planning) and Victoria Kempthorne (construction).
Stephenson Harwood (law firm) advised the landlords.
Gurpreet Hayer said, “We are delighted to have advised Knight Frank on this exciting move. 103 Colmore Row is a prestigious building in terms of ESG, design and location and provides a best-in-class working environment. We wish Knight Frank every success in its new home in Birmingham.”
