This Year Marks Law Firm’s Second Year Of Support For The Largest Popular Music Literary Event In The UK
Irwin Mitchell returns to the largest popular music literature festival in the UK, Louder Than Words, as the legal partner.
This year, the festival will take place between 12-14 November at the Innside Hotel, Manchester and the event will be livestreamed online which gives audiences a chance to be a part of the festival regardless of their location.
Established by Dr Jill Adam and musician and journalist John Robb, the festival is hosted annually in Manchester and attracts hundreds of music fans from across the UK and beyond.
Last year, Irwin Mitchell’s support helped to ‘Bring Legends To Your Living Room’ and this year’s event will be no less impressive.
Events kick off on Friday at 6.30pm with The Lost Buzzcocks Tapes; while a full day of panel discussions, conversations and live performances on Saturday includes Louder's Annual Club Culture Panel on ‘Partying Out of The Pandemic’ and a livestream from Australia with author Leslie Chow. The day concludes with the Louder Music Quiz at 10pm.
Sunday’s events include Oliver Craske and John Robb on ‘The Life and Music of Ravi Shankar and at 4 pm author Richard Balls in conversation with Heath Common on A Furious Devotion: The Authorised Story of Shane Macgowan.
Dr Jill Adam, the creator and curator of Louder than Words says: “We’re delighted to be back with a vengeance in 2021. Thanks to the great support of Irwin Mitchell, we’re able to deliver a hybrid Festival, incorporating in person events with others joining us via livestream from around the globe. Audience reach and maximising audience engagement are key priorities for us and the extension of both is only made possible through the foresight and specialist support of Irwin Mitchell.”
Irwin Mitchell’s Media and Entertainment team continued to provide specialist commercial advise to the creative individuals and business in support of the creative sector both on a regional and national level all throughout the pandemic.

Having been involved in the festival since its inception it’s great to see how Jill, John and the team have grown the event and evolved over the years.
“Our commitment to the creative industries remains strong locally as well as nationally and internationally and our Media & Entertainment team is looking forward to attending some of the sessions on offer from another impressive list of authors and musicians.” Laura Harper - Partner
The partnership with Lounder Than Words is part of a range of activities Irwin Mitchell is supporting in aid of the arts, following the disruption caused by the pandemic. This includes support for Passport: Back to Our Roots – an innovative venture aimed at securing the survival of independent grassroots music venues across the UK.
