New Hire Marks A First For Legal Services In The North East

Irwin Mitchell has announced the appointment of their first Tax, Trusts and Estates solicitor to be based in the North East, as part of the ongoing expansion of the private client team in the North.

Elizabeth Gibbison joins today (17 November), having previously been at Short, Richardson and Forth. Elizabeth specialises in all areas of non-contentious private client law, advising a range of clients, from business owners to the elderly and vulnerable in need of expert advice.

With a strong background in advising clients on everything from estate and succession planning to inheritance and capital gains tax, Elizabeth’s skills will complement the existing team and offer further support in  wills, probate and the administration of estates and trusts.

Elizabeth is also used to advising on capacity issues, including powers of attorney and is currently studying for her STEP diploma.

While based in the Newcastle office, Elizabeth will also be supporting Private Client Services colleagues at Irwin Mitchell throughout the north. The Leeds office has appointed 14 Tax, Trusts and Estates solicitors in the last three years alone, with three new hires last month as the firm’s post-lockdown expansion continues.
