Five-Year Relationship Continuing Into 2022
National law firm Irwin Mitchell has announced its sponsorship of motorsport star Nathalie McGloin has been renewed for another year.
Nathalie is the only female tetraplegic racing driver in the world. In 2015, she became the first female with a spinal injury to be granted a racing licence in the UK. Just four years later, she was named the first female disabled rally driver.
Since 2016, Nathalie has been an ambassador for Irwin Mitchell and the Asset Management/Financial Planning division. The relationship will now continue into 2022.
Expert Opinion“We’re delighted to be renewing our sponsorship of Nathalie for another year.
She is such an inspiration to so many people, and we couldn’t have asked for a better ambassador for Irwin Mitchell over the past five years.
We look forward to continuing our work with Nathalie.”

Nathalie was also a finalist in the Sunday Times Disability Sportswoman of the Year Award 2020. She said: “I’m extremely happy that Irwin Mitchell is coming on board as a headline sponsor for another season with me.
“Last year was extremely challenging for everyone and having Irwin Mitchell’s support during the pandemic has allowed me to focus on keeping my fitness and mental health in check so that I’m in the best possible shape heading in to the 2021 season.
“I’ve worked with Irwin Mitchell for nearly half of my injured life, and I’ve come to rely on them for not only financial and legal advice, but also for life advice too.
“A special thanks always goes to Ed Tomlinson for my partnership with Irwin Mitchell. Ed has become a good friend whilst always maintaining a level of professionalism that I trust absolutely. The support has given me the confidence to pursue my dreams in motorsport, and I’m grateful for this continuing relationship.”
Nathalie’s next race is the Brands Hatch Indy on 12 June. She added: “I can’t wait to be back out racing. The car is very different from when I last drove it, with plenty of upgrades, so I’m looking forward to shaking off the cobwebs and seeing what I can achieve this season.”
