Law Firm Aims To Tackle Misconceptions About Personal Data After Brexit
National law firm Irwin Mitchell is hosting a webinar on 15 October to help businesses ensure they handle personal data correctly once the UK leaves the EU.
Topics that will be covered on the webinar include what will happen to GDPR after Brexit and whether it will still be possible to send personal data from the UK to the EU.
Other questions that will be answered include whether organisations need to change any of their GDPR documentation and what happens if a business needs to access, or transfer personal data from the EU in the UK, such as data relating to customers or group companies.
Expert Opinion
“One issue that is often overlooked in relation to Brexit is what it means for personal data. There is also a misconception that Brexit will mean the end of GDPR for British businesses, but this is not the case. We will have a look at some of these myths and what Brexit, whether there is a no deal or a deal, means for organisations’ use of employee, customer and supplier personal data.” Joanne Bone - Partner
The webinar takes place on October 15 at 1-2pm. To register your interest, click here before Friday 11 October.
