Medical Negligence Expert Set To Take Up New Role
A lawyer based at the Birmingham office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell has revealed her delight after an organisation which supports the city’s Irish community selected her to join its board of trustees.
Specialist medical negligence lawyer, Caroline Brogan, is set to take up the role at the Birmingham Irish Association, a body which offers advice on a range of matters from welfare services, and emigrant support to ancestry tracing.
The appointment comes after Caroline has worked closely with the organisation for a number of years, including notably managing free legal advice clinics which Irwin Mitchell hold at the Association’s base at St Anne’s Parish Centre in Digbeth.
It also comes after she was shortlisted by the Birmingham Law Society earlier this year for an award related to pro-bono work undertaken to support the Birmingham Irish Association.
Expert Opinion
“My grandfather, John Brogan, settled in Coventry from County Mayo when he was just a teenager and I am immensely proud of my Irish roots.
“It has been a pleasure working alongside the Birmingham Irish Association in a range of ways across the past few years and being asked to join the body’s board of trustees is a major moment for me personally.
“It also reflects how, as a firm, Irwin Mitchell continues to strive to develop and maintain strong links with the communities where it has offices. We are very proud to have so many links locally and we look forward to supporting the Birmingham Irish Association in the future.” Caroline Brogan - Senior Associate Solicitor
