Irwin Mitchell Presented T-shirts And Kits To Para Swimmers

The North West Primary Schools Para Swimming Team, which has members from different primary schools all over the North West, has welcomed sponsorship from national law firm Irwin Mitchell.

The members of the team were presented with t-shirts and kits funded by Irwin Mitchell, which they put to good use at the English Schools Swimming Association Primary Schools Swimming Gala at Ponds Forge in Sheffield on 15 June.

This was the first year that the team had been entered into the competition.

“We are very proud to be sponsoring the North West Primary Schools Para Swimming Team.

I went along to the gala and it was fantastic to see them doing what they love. It was the first time they had entered into the competition and swam amazingly as a team.

They did really well, winning the freestyle stroke relay and coming second out of six teams in the para mixed stroke relay!

It is wonderful to be able to help support these children to be able to compete in competitions like this; they don’t let their disabilities stop them and are truly an inspiration to us all.”

Alison Crawford, divisional representative for the English Schools Swimming Association North West Division, said: “The swimmers were delighted with their new kit – it brought them all together as a team.  They had never competed at such an event before, so to come home with a gold and silver was an amazing achievement, and many thanks to Irwin Mitchell for the support!”
