Irwin Mitchell Donates £500 To Support Organisation’s Work
A Hampshire disability sports initiative has received an equipment boost thanks to a donation from law firm Irwin Mitchell.
The firm’s Southampton office have provided a £500 donation to Active Nation’s ActiveAbility Solent, which currently provides physical activity sessions to around 2,000 disabled people per month.
Active Nation has specifically used the funds to support its ActiveAbility boccia sessions; a Paralympic target sport which is similar to boules. The organisation has purchased two new sets of balls with the funds, as well as extra ramps to help more people get involved.
Irwin Mitchell has a long-held commitment to supporting disability sport initiatives and recently provided donations to a range of organisations and sportspeople via its Don’t Quit, Do It campaign; supported by the likes of wheelchair racing star Hannah Cockroft MBE.
The law firm is also a major supporter of the growth of boccia in the UK and has a long-standing relationship with Boccia England.
