Mum Requires Lifetime Of Care After Being Knocked Down
A mum knocked down by a driver has received a £3.5 million settlement to fund the specialist care she requires for the rest of her life.
The woman suffered a number of injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, in the collision which happened when she was stood waiting to cross the road.
Following the crash her family instructed specialist serious injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to help the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, access the specialist care and rehabilitation she needs.
The High Court has this week approved a settlement from the driver’s insurance company.
The money will help pay for the vital rehabilitation and therapies the woman, from the borough of Islington, needs to overcome her injuries the best she can. It will also fund a support team to help look after her and compensate for the fact she will be unable to work again.
Irwin Mitchell’s Court of Protection team is managing the funds on her behalf to ensure that they last for the rest of her life.
