Trio Will Run 46.2 Miles For Charity At Yorkshire Marathon
A keen-running trio from national law firm Irwin Mitchell will lace up their running shoes at the Yorkshire Marathon to fundraise for the British Lung Foundation.
David Johnston-Keay, Angela Davies, and Hannah Wall will cover 46.2 miles between them, with David tackling the marathon, and Hannah and Angela running the 10 mile event.
The Asda Foundation Yorkshire Marathon takes place on 14 October, and has been described as the number one alternative to the London Marathon by the Daily Mirror.
As well as the marathon, the event also has a Yorkshire 10 Mile Run, and a Yorkshire Marathon Corporate Relay
David, a senior associate in the firm’s occupational disease team, said:
Expert Opinion
“The three of us have spent our careers representing those living with the terrible effects of a debilitating lung disease, or the loved ones of those who lost their life.
“The day to day struggles these men and women endure, and the tireless effort of their families and carers, have been our inspiration to get out there in the early morning or late night to get the practice miles in.” David Johnston-Keay - Partner
The trio will be fundraising for the British Lung Foundation, which has been researching lung conditions for 30 years and aims to improve care, and prevent, treat and cure lung diseases.
David added: “The British Lung Foundation does fantastic work helping those who need it. We are proud to be fundraising for them and I am hoping that feeling will help me across the line after 26.2 miles.”
