Ambitious Midlands Business Targets Further UK Growth

Telford-based outsourced waste management services provider, Reconomy, has hit the acquisitions trail again and announced the purchase of Waste Check Limited.

Waste Check is based in Bromsgrove and was established in 2008 by Mark and Karl Jenkins. It offers a complete range of waste management services to commercial, domestic, industrial, demolition and construction companies, with a large presence in the private hospital and care centre sectors.

Reconomy is the UK’s leading provider of outsourced waste management services to the construction, house building, infrastructure and industrial and commercial sectors.

It co-ordinates in excess of 12,000 waste movements every week and manages approximately three million tonnes of waste each year. It currently predicts revenue of £130m by the end of this year.

The acquisition of Waste Check is the fourth for Reconomy since the start of 2015 and follows the purchase of Cory Environmental’s national waste brokerage businesses, Countrywide Waste Management Ltd and Network Waste.
