Law Firm Shortlisted For 11 Awards In One Week
Irwin Mitchell has been nominated for a total of 11 awards this week, with each one recognising individuals and teams from across a number of the law firm’s divisions.
The majority of the nominations come from the Yorkshire Legal Awards, where Irwin Mitchell has been shortlisted in the Banking & Finance, Diversity & Inclusion, Family Law, Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Private Client categories.
Adding to those nominations is Leeds based asbestos-related disease partner Ian Toft, who is shortlisted in the Partner category; Leeds based family law solicitor Scott Halliday, who is up for Rising Star; and Leeds based personal injury trainee solicitor Dominic Riley who is nominated in the Trainee category at the event which takes places on 11 October at New Dock Hall in Leeds.
At last year’s event, Irwin Mitchell was nominated for six awards before being selected as Large Law Firm of the Year for firms with 31 partners or more.
Three nominations at this year’s Law Society Excellence Awards round off the 11 nominations seen this week. At the ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London on 17 October, Irwin Mitchell is up for the Excellence in Private Client Practice award and Excellence in Marketing & Communications for its Don’t Quit, Do It programme which aims to get more people playing and supporting disability sport.
Chrissie Wolfe, a personal injury solicitor in Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office is also up for Junior Lawyer of the Year. Chrissie will be hoping to add to her award success this year having triumphed in the legal category at the Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards in May this year.
All 11 nominations recognise Irwin Mitchell’s Personal Injury, Private Wealth, BLS and Group Services divisions and demonstrate enormous range and depth of expertise across the law firm.
