Serious Injury Lawyers Assisting Man Seriously Injured When Hit By Adamec’s Vehicle

A man who was left with serious leg injuries when he and his friend were struck by a vehicle as they changed a flat tyre in Newmarket has spoken of his relief after the driver was sentenced to 40 months in prison and given a 5-year driving ban.

Joey Abbs and his friend Shaun Whiter were struck by a vehicle driven by Jan Adamec in July 2015, leaving Joey with serious leg injuries and leading to the amputation of Shaun’s legs.

Adamec, from Haverhill, admitted two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, in a hearing at Cambridge Crown Court in August. He has now been jailed and given a driving ban.
