Experts From Irwin Mitchell Raise More Than £1,600 For RSVP
Three lawyers from national law firm Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office have braved a 2km charity swim in an icy fjord to raise vital funds for the office’s charity of the year, the Rape and Sexual Violence Project (RSVP).
Legal experts Scott Tolliss, Joseph Dawson and Adam Wright tackled the swim in the Killary fjord last weekend (October 10th), with the swim taking them from County Mayo across the border to County Galway.
Their endeavours have so far raised more than £1,600 for the charity, with further donations also still expected.
RSVP, based in Birmingham, offers confidential support services to children, women and men who have been affected by sexual violence and abuse.
As well as being the charity of the year for Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office, the firm’s specialist lawyers have worked closely with the organisation for several years to ensure victims of abuse who seek legal advice are able to also get the counselling support they need.
