Result Is The Best Ever For Law Firm Which Consistently Ranks Tops Five For Gender Diversity At All Levels Of Firm
Irwin Mitchell’s commitment to diversity in the workplace has been recognised after it was ranked 5th overall in the Black Solicitors Network 2015 Diversity League Table.
The national law firm has consistently been ranked among the top 10 firms for diversity and in the top five of many categories. Results from the 2015 Diversity League Table show that Irwin Mitchell:
- Finished top in rankings of female associates
- Finished 3rd in ranking of firms for female trainees
- Ranked 5th for the number of female partners
- Ranked 5th in the overall diversity league table (2014: 6th) which is an overall measure of demographic, policy and approach.
As part of its commitment to a diverse workplace, Irwin Mitchell has a Partnership Diversity Board, which forms part of its integrated social responsibility agenda, that is responsible for overseeing the practical implementation and continued development of the firm’s diversity strategy. The Diversity Board is headed by Stuart Henderson, Regional Managing Partner and Board member.
Internal networking groups have been established to focus on sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, social mobility and race and religion. Each group made up of volunteer members from all offices and departments within IM and each is led by a senior member of the Partnership and they work with external agencies and other networks to explore a range of issues and initiatives that will contribute to the inclusiveness of Irwin Mitchell.
