

Irwin Mitchell Advises Acquisitive Business On Sausage Company Purchase
Rotherham-based Underwood Meat Company Limited has completed its latest acquisition with the purchase of the Manor Farm Sausage Company Limited for an undisclosed sum.
The Manor Farm Sausage Company trades as Norsted Manor Meats and is a specialist butchery business based in Kent. Underwood Meat Company, which has been supplying the catering industry with high quality fresh meat products for more than 40 years, bought the business to complement its expanding Southern operation.
Last year, Underwood Meat Company acquired St Albans-based wholesale butcher business, Butlers. In 2013, the Sheffield office of Irwin Mitchell also advised the acquisitive business on a deal with Country Park Foods which saw it acquire its Bramley Foods subsidiary. The deal resulted in the company expanding into a new site on Chesterfield’s Holmewood Industrial Park.
