Corporate Specialists Named Corporate Law Firm Of The Year
National law firm Irwin Mitchell is celebrating after enjoying triple success at the Insider Sheffield City Region Dealmakers Awards last night (June 18th), including being named Corporate Law Firm of the Year at the event.
Michael Hall, a solicitor in Irwin Mitchell’s Corporate team, was named Emerging Dealmaker of the Year at the event held at St Paul’s Mercure Hotel, while Samuel Hodge’s acquisition of Mac’Ants Abrasives – which Kevin Cunningham, James Foster, Emma Garth and Natalie Hager of Irwin Mitchell advised on – won Mid-Market Deal of the Year.
Hosted by rugby star Martin Bayfield, the Insider Sheffield City Region Dealmakers Awards are held annually to recognise the work of the corporate finance community across the area.
The award wins are a testament to the range of major deals that Irwin Mitchell’s Corporate specialists have been involved in across the past 12 months.
As well as the Samuel Hodge deal, the team has also notably advised on the MBO of Spear & Jackson, the £21.5m MBO of Ask4 and the Business Growth Fund’s development capital investment in Horbury Group – all of which were highlighted as key regional deals at the Dealmakers event.
