Experts From Irwin Mitchell Lend Support To Sheffield Charity
Two specialist business lawyers at Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office are sacrificing a good night’s sleep in a comfy bed for a night out under stars this week in an effort to raise vital funds to support the city’s Cathedral Archer Project (CAP).
Corporate expert Andrea Cropley and commercial litigation specialist Dorrien Peters are among a number of local businesspeople involved in the charity’s Business Leaders Sleep Out on June 4th, which will see them spend a night outside Sheffield Cathedral.
The aim of the evening is to not only give participants a small insight into the life of a homeless person, but also to raise awareness of the work CAP does to help homeless and vulnerable people in the city improve their lives and make a fresh start.
All of the funds raised will go towards supporting the array of services offered by CAP which operates premises with washing and cleaning facilities, as well as education facilities and other services to help people back into work.
Andrea Cropley heads the Corporate practice in Irwin Mitchell’s northern offices and is joining Dorrien Peters in his third Sleep Out for CAP.
Tracy Viner, Marketing and Development Manager at CAP, said, “Our Chairman has challenged 30 business leaders in Sheffield to take part in this sleep out to mark 25 years of the Archer Project’s work with homeless people.
“Irwin Mitchell has supported us for many years and we are really pleased that Andrea and Dorrien are joining us. We believe that life should be fulfilling and enjoyable and homelessness isn’t. With the support of organisations like Irwin Mitchell, and their staff, we can help people make changes towards a better life.”
