West Midlands Law Firm Join Other Companies To Support Birmingham Children’s Hospital
Birmingham law firm Irwin Mitchell is taking part in a city-wide initiative which will launch in the city this summer to raise awareness about the cultural diversity in the West Midlands and support Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The Big Hoot is Birmingham’s largest ever mass participation art event, which will turn the city into a virtual aviary in with specially designed owls.
Wild in Art has teamed up with Birmingham Children’s Hospital and designed over 90 165cm owl statues which will land on Monday 20 July and take up perch for a 10 week period during the summer months to help showcase the wide cultural appeal of Birmingham.
The law firm has chosen a design from a Birmingham-based artist, Mat Goose, who goes by the name Goosensei, for their owl who takes his inspiration from street art.
Elinor Eustace, Deputy Director of Fundraising at Birmingham Children’s Hospital said: “It is fantastic to have Irwin Mitchell on board with The Big Hoot– and we are excited to see their chosen owl in its place so that everyone in the city can see it.
“Through this campaign we will ultimately be able to fund some important projects for the children and young people at our hospital and for that we’re immensely grateful.”
