Irwin Mitchell Raised Money For Magpas Helimedix
A number of staff from the Cambridge office of leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell raised money for Air Ambulance charity Magpas Helimedix by taking to the skies themselves as part of a charity tandem skydive.
Phoebe Osborne, Shereen Chohan and Robert Shorrock jumped from a plane 13,000 feet above Sibson Airfield, Wansford, near Peterborough on Sunday 12 July.
They were raising money for Irwin Mitchell’s Cambridge office’s charity of the year, Magpas Helimedix, which provides vital, specialist support at medical emergencies around the East Anglia region.
All of the money raised by the team will help the charity buy vital medical supplies, including lifesaving drugs and dressings, to ensure it can treat seriously ill or injured people when arriving at the scene of an incident.
Phoebe Osborne, a solicitor at Irwin Mitchell’s Cambridge office, said: "We all had an absolutely incredible time and fulfilled a lifetime’s ambition. To be able to raise money for such a great cause and know that it will make such a difference, just adds the icing on the cake.
“We are so impressed with the amazing work that Magpas does for those who suffer serious trauma in the region and are happy to help raise funds for them.
“Without the emergency support the charity provides many people would face a longer wait before they receive expert care, significantly reducing their chances of survival and recovery.”
Antonia Brickell, Head of Communications at Magpas, added: "I would like to thank Irwin Mitchell for organising so many fundraising activities already this year to help raise money and also awareness for Magpas.
“Donations like these can help buy the equipment we need to continue to provide A&E care in medical emergencies, and help us to make a critical difference to those who suffer serious injuries in our region.”
