Firm shortlisted in ‘Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion’ and ‘Solicitor of the year’ categories
National law firm Irwin Mitchell is proud to have been shortlisted for two categories in the Law Society Excellence Awards 2015.
Irwin Mitchell has been nominated in the Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion category, while Polly Sweeney, who is a specialist in the firm’s Public Law team in Bristol, has been shortlisted for the national Solicitor of the Year Award – just a year after she was named as Bristol Law Society’s Solicitor of the Year.
Set to take place on October 22nd Hilton Hotel, Park Lane in London, the Law Society Awards were launched to recognise some of the very best work in the legal profession and celebrate the successes and achievements in the industry.
News of Irwin Mitchell’s nominations comes just a month after the firm was also shortlisted in five categories for the 2015 Yorkshire Legal Awards, including the Private Client Team of the Year and Real Estate Team of the Year categories.
Jonathan Peacock, South West Regional Managing Partner based at Irwin Mitchell’s Bristol office said, “This is a tremendous achievement for Polly to be recognised again after being named Bristol Law Society’s Solicitor of the Year only last year. This nomination is tribute to the continued effort and support that Polly carries out on behalf of her client.
Amandeep Dhillon, an International Personal Injury Partner at Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office and a lead Partner for the firm’s Diversity Group, described the Law Society Excellence Awards nomination as testament to the continued development of the firm’s diversity agenda and the hard work and commitment of our solicitors in creating an inclusive working environment.
