Specialist Travel Lawyers Secure Four-Figure Settlements For Group of Friends
A member of a group of friends who travelled to a Turkish resort for a fun-filled holiday has spoken of his ordeal after four of them fell severely ill with gastric symptoms.
Reian Newitt, 21, from Reading, in Berkshire, was one of the group of friends affected. Reian was enjoying his holiday with friends in August 2012, when just days into his stay he was struck with severe diarrhoea, abdominal pains and vomiting.
The painter and decorator instructed specialist travel lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to investigate health and hygiene conditions at the Perdikia Hills Hotel, in Turkey. The expert lawyers secured justice for the four friends who fell ill, and they have now each received four-figure settlements despite Thomas Cook denying liability for the illness suffered by the group of friends.
The friends reported a number of issues within the hotel restaurant, including food occasionally being served undercooked, in particular eggs and chicken, a pizza once being served whilst still frozen in the middle, and the restaurant often smelling of sewage.
