Customers Urged To Return Products With All Date Codes
Supermarket chain Sainsbury’s has announced a recall of all date codes of its SO Organic Sultanas as a precaution, after salmonella was found during routine testing of the product.
The Food Standards Agency has issued a Product Recall Information Notice in relation to the move, which affects 500g packs carrying the barcode number 0000001205312.
Recall notices have been placed in stores and customers who have bought the items have been told to avoid consuming them and instead to return them to the store they were purchased from, where they will be entitled to a full refund.
No other products from the supermarket retailer are known to be affected.

It is very concerning to see reports of this recall and we have already been contacted by members of the public who believe they may have been affected by the problem.
"The ultimate priority at present must be to get this message out to consumers so they avoid consumption of the products, but then attention must turn to investigating how these issues came to emerge and what can be done to prevent them from re-emerging in the future.
