Irwin Mitchell Employees To Take On ‘Three Dams Walk’
By Rob Dixon
Lawyers and support staff from law firm Irwin Mitchell will be swapping the office floors for a 10 mile walk around the dams of Ladybower, Derwent and Howden on Sunday 6th October.
Around 30 Irwin Mitchell employees from the Sheffield office will be completing the ‘Three Dams Walk’ to raise funds for Sheffield Children’s hospital, the firm’s charity of the year.
The walk is open to everyone and people can choose whether to do 5, 10 or 15 miles of walking around the three reservoirs. Staff at Irwin Mitchell Will be taking on the 10 mile walk.
This year the walk aims to raise £25,000 to fund a patient bedroom in a new hospital ward, as part of the charity’s “Make it Better” appeal, which will benefit children with a range of muscle and bone conditions.
Rachel Brown, a solicitor in the medical law team at the Sheffield office of Irwin Mitchell said: “Our walking team is fit and raring to take on the Three Dam’s walk. The Children’s Hospital Charity is a cause close to all our hearts in Sheffield because it helps fund such vital care for children and young people throughout the region. It is also our office’s charity of the year, so our strong team of 30 are dedicated in raising as much awareness and funds for them as possible.
“The 25k target is achievable but the charity will need all the help it can get, so, if you have some spare time on October 6th then come down and take part, it’s a great day out for families and keen walkers.”
