North Wales Police are continuing with their investigations into a plane crash at Caernarfon Airport yesterday (May 20th) which led to the death of one man and left two others, including a boy, in a critical condition.
The force has revealed that emergency services were called to the scene following reports that a light aircraft – later confirmed to have been a Piper Cherokee – had come down while on its approach to the airport in Gwynedd.
One man was confirmed dead at the scene while the other casualties were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd for treatment. Family Liaison Officers are currently supporting the family.
Police have referred the incident to the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) and have called for anyone with information in relation to the crash to come forward.
