Seminar To Provide Update On NEC Contracts And Litigation
By David Shirt
The Leeds office of national law firm, Irwin Mitchell, will host a free seminar on 26 June 2013 aimed at helping businesses deal with a range of important issues associated with construction and engineering contracts.
Organised by Irwin Mitchell’s Engineering, Construction and Infrastructure Projects Group, the interactive session will cover other key issues including how to deal most effectively with the new regime for recovery of litigation costs.
The debate will also address early warnings and compensation events in relation to NEC contracts and highlight the importance of an experienced and independent project manager when dealing with such issues.
There is also an open forum planned so that delegates have an opportunity to raise issues with the aim of receiving help and support from the presenters and the other delegates.
Steven Bate, Construction Partner at Irwin Mitchell in Leeds, said: “We have designed this seminar around the feedback received at our last seminar in February and are confident that it addresses issues that our audience wants to hear about.
“The open forum session should give people the opportunity to air and debate even more current issues. The seminar is also designed as an interactive session and one that will add value by providing organisations with practical advice on some challenging issues in relation to litigation and construction/engineering claims.”
The free event will take place between 8-10am at Irwin Mitchell’s offices in Leeds at 2 Wellington Place.
