Lawyers Raise Vital Funds For Charity
Lawyers from the offices of Irwin Mitchell Solicitors in Birmingham today entered into the spirit of The Big Bandage 2013 and raised £300 in support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Partners and Staff got wrapped up in a variety of bandages, slings and plasters and raised money for research, innovation, patient experience and development at the internationally acclaimed hospital on their doorstep in Birmingham City Centre.
The whole Irwin Mitchell office joined in, even those who did not get bandaged were invited to buy cakes and ice creams – with proceeds going to the worthwhile appeal.
Annette Ginns, Associate Solicitor in the Serious Injury Team who organised the event for Irwin Mitchell said: “There has been huge enthusiasm in the office for this event, and everyone, whether they have links with the Hospital or not, were delighted to get involved and give of their time and money to support the Birmingham Children’s Hospital appeal”
Philip Edwards, Partner and Head of the Serious Injury Team, said: “Those of us who live and work in Birmingham know of the good work that Birmingham Children’s Hospital do for the young people of the Midlands and beyond.
“I personally have known many clients who have benefited immensely from the care and dedication that the staff at the Hospital provide, and I am so pleased we were able to contribute in this small way to the appeal, and we wish The Big Bandage 2013 every success in achieving their targets. Everyone at Irwin Mitchell hopes this will become an annual event and look forward to supporting it again in the future.”
