Irwin Mitchell Advise On Division's First International Transaction
Fast–growing AESPUMP Ltd, a market leader in the management of pump assets for the process industries, is on the acquisitions trail again following the purchase of Ultimate Vacuum ApS of Denmark.
The deal, which is AESPUMP’s first cross-border acquisition, follows on from AESPUMP’s purchase of pump repairer and supplier Absolute Vacuum earlier this year in February.
Ultimate Vacuum is an independent supplier of vacuum pumps, spares and other vacuum industry related products to the Danish and Scandinavian markets. The company is an official distributor for leading global vacuum equipment suppliers such as Edwards Vacuum, MKS Instrument and MPF Products.
Managing director at AESPUMP, Ian Wallace said: “Ultimate Vacuum has an excellent reputation for customer service across Scandinavia and therefore not only provides an excellent cultural fit for AES, it also offers a fantastic opportunity to start building the business overseas.”
Kevin Cunningham, corporate partner at the Sheffield office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell, advised AESPUMP on the deal.
He said: "AESPUMP is a dynamic and fast-growing part of the AES Group. Ultimate Vacuum gives AESPUMP an excellent platform for further growth in Europe.”
AESPUMP’s parent, AES Engineering Ltd, is a global player with its HQ in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The AESPUMP division was formed in 1997, and since then has grown year on year, serving process industries such as petrochemicals, food and drink and pharmaceuticals.
