Firm Sees Continued Growth In Employment Group
The Birmingham office of national law firm, Irwin Mitchell, has appointed Helen Dyke to its Employment team.
Joining as an Associate from Browne Jacobson in Birmingham, Helen deals with all aspects of employment law and HR advice, including drafting contractual documents and handling large-scale redundancies and re-organisations. A large amount of her work relates to contentious matters, which includes advising and representing clients involved in employment tribunals.
Helen has experience of advising both public and private sector clients, including NHS Trusts, financial institutions, retail and manufacturing businesses.
Commenting on her decision to move to Irwin Mitchell, Helen said: “I’m delighted to be joining Irwin Mitchell. The firm has positioned itself strongly to take full advantage of the opportunities in the changing legal market and I’m confident that it will continue to attract excellent clients as a result.
“Working for Irwin Mitchell presents an exciting opportunity and I look forward to developing strong relationships with existing and new clients, whilst helping the firm realise its growth ambitions.”
Helen joins a 22-strong employment department in Birmingham which added a number of other senior team members last year including Omer Simjee who moved to Irwin Mitchell from Pinsent Masons. The Birmingham office recently promoted Donna Seferta and Shazia Shah to Associate taking the total number in the department to five.
Fergal Dowling, Employment Partner and Head of Business at Irwin Mitchell in Birmingham, said: “Helen is another important addition to our employment team and her appointment at the start of the year is a clear signal of our intent to grow and invest in our business legal services team during 2012.”
