'Wizzybugs' Take Centre Stage At Bath Pageant Of Motoring
Irwin Mitchell Bristol is delighted to be sponsoring the Bath Pageant of Motoring 2012, organised by The Rotary Club of Bath. This charity event, which takes place on 23rd and 24th June, is aimed at families as well as enthusiasts and will involve displays of Vintage, Historic and Classic Cars and Motorcycles, together with other diverse and interesting exhibitions.
All proceeds from this event are going to Bath Institute of Medical Engineering’s (BIME) Wizzybugs - a fleet of fun powered vehicles for disabled children. The bright red, fun buggies, complete with smiley face & eyes cost around £3,000 to build and the charity relies heavily upon donations to help families in need.
Irwin Mitchell already supports BIME, donating the funds for two new Wizzybugs, as well as maintenance for the next five years, as part of BIME’s new loan scheme. The scheme aims to make Wizzybugs accessible to even more local families and help children with mobility problems gain independence.
As well as all the displays and demonstrations, visitors at the Bath Pageant of Motoring will also be able to watch and take part in Wizzybug demonstrations in the Wizzybug arena. Both Wizzybug users and children who have never seen a Wizzybug before will be able to have a go and compete in a fun race for prizes.
