Five-Year Agreement Confirmed Following Review
Following a comprehensive strategic review of its facilities operations, leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell has confirmed that it has signed a five-year contract with OCS to outsource all of its facilities management work.
OCS will take over the management of all aspects including receptionists, document service and facilities teams with a total of 81 non-legal staff transferring to them under TUPE regulations, following a full consultation process.
Gary Jackson, Group Operations Director for Irwin Mitchell, said: “We have grown significantly as a firm in recent years which has led to an increase in the facilities work we undertake. During that time we have built a very capable Facilities Team however we cannot lose sight of the fact that we are a law firm, and our focus needs to be on ensuring that we continue to deliver high quality legal services to all of our clients. The time was right for us to conduct a review and we firmly believe that working with OCS will enable both businesses to focus on what they do best’.
“The values of OCS and their senior management team are very similar to Irwin Mitchell. They are committed to providing a high level of service as well as offering excellent career prospects for the people that will move across to them.”
Jackson continued: “The work within our Facilities department is vital and this will not alter the value we place on it. In many ways, the only aspect which will change is that the Facilities team will work for OCS as opposed to Irwin Mitchell.
