Safety Expert Calls For Full Investigation
An investigation has been launched after eight people were injured when a minibus and car collided in Bradford yesterday morning (October 16th).
Seven people travelling on the bus and one person in the car were hurt in the incident in the Low Moor region of the city, which emergency services were called to just after 8.00am.
Firefighters had to use cutting equipment in order to free the injured person from the car, while Cleckheaton Road was apparently closed for a couple of hours following the crash.
Experts at Irwin Mitchell act for people across the UK who have suffered injuries in road traffic collisions. The team are also currently representing the families of a number of children hurt when a bus carrying schoolchildren in Chesterfield hit a railway bridge earlier this year.
Commenting on this latest incident, Gary Walker, a solicitor who specialises in such group claims at the law firm’s Sheffield office, said: “Road traffic collisions can have both serious physical and psychological consequences for those involved and it is vital, for the sake of those hurt in this incident, that efforts are made to create a fuller picture of what happened.
“In our experience, we’ve seen cases like this highlight safety issues from which lessons can be learnt that reduce the likelihood of similar problems in the future.
“We hope that the emergency services are able to provide more information which will hopefully ensure other people do not suffer in the same manner going forward.”
