Award Winning Team Bolstered
Irwin Mitchell’s award winning Serious Injury Team in Sheffield has been bolstered by four new members who will broaden the expertise offered and strengthen its position as a major provider of legal services in the region.
Associates Louise Morgan, Lisa Fairclough, Zoe Sutton and Andrew Buckham have all made the move to the team at Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office.
Lisa, 37, joined Irwin Mitchell in 1997 as a trainee solicitor. She has spent the last nine years in the workplace accident team assisting injured workers and their families.
Her move to the team will see her continue to assist clients who have suffered the most serious workplace injuries including loss of arm or hand function, post traumatic stress disorder and loss of vision.
She is joined by Andrew Buckham, 39, from Barnsley, who served in the Army for seven years before joining Irwin Mitchell's Armed Forces Team in September 2005. An APIL Senior Litigator, Andrew helps injured service personnel access medical care and rehabilitation as well as compensation and has been involved in numerous high profile cases.
Andrew helped to represent families of those who died when an RAF Nimrod plane crashed in Afghanistan, seeking justice against the Ministry of Defence. Andrew also represented Doncaster soldier Ben Parkinson and his family during their fight for fairer compensation for injured soldiers.
Andrew will focus on Armed Services claims for the serious injury team as will Associate Zoe Sutton, 36, from Sheffield who will focus on developing the teams work helping clients who suffer amputation and loss of limb, as well as people who have suffered multiple traumatic injuries.
Zoe qualified in 2000 at a law firm in Manchester before joining Irwin Mitchell where she developed a specialism in armed forces personnel injury claims. She became an Associate in 2006.
Having joined Irwin Mitchell in 1989 as a trainee, Associate Louise Morgan, 44, headed up the public liability team at Irwin Mitchell and has also spent five years in the accident at work team. In the serious injury team, she will specialise in representing clients who suffer serious injury in road traffic collisions and public liability claims.
