At the Irwin Mitchell Ladies’ Networking Evening, held at the firm’s Temple Street office, guests were treated to fine wine and gourmet canapés, followed by a presentation from Annette Hughes of Colour Confidence.
Annette, who has been working out which colours flatter women for over 25 years, chose serious injury solicitor Hilary Wetherell as her ‘guinea pig’ for the evenings presentation.
Hilary was draped with swatches of fabric and the audience was asked to vote on whether or not they suited her. Annette was able to produce a personalised ‘colour palette’, allowing Hilary to know at a glance which colours to pick whilst out shopping.
This was followed by a raffle featuring prizes from luxury scent company Jo Malone and Birmingham jewellery boutique “Summer and Silver”, held in aid of children’s bereavement services across Birmingham.
Hilary said: “It was a very enjoyable evening full of fun and laughter and I’d like to thank everyone who came along and made it special.
“It was exciting to meet so many inspiring women from different professions, including accountancy, speech therapy, nursing, journalism and business.”
The event raised £285.00 which will be distributed to charities who work to help bereaved children.
