Law Firm Announces Appointments And Promotions

Leading law firm Irwin Mitchell has strengthened its renowned personal injury team with three appointments and two promotions at the Leeds office.

Mark Tempest joins the firm as a Partner in the serious injury team, while solicitors James Thompson and Anna Bosley have both joined the medical law and patients’ rights team.

Nicola Perrott has now qualified as a solicitor in the serious injury team having joined Irwin Mitchell as a paralegal, and Kate Eccles has joined the medical law team having also completed her training at the firm.

Mark began his legal career in 1985 at the specialist media industry practice Steven Fisher and Co, before moving to Harrowells of York in 1987. During his time at Harrowells, Mark created the successful Personal Injury and Medical Law department, had a spell as a Managing Partner and saw the firm’s size increase four-fold.

Immediately prior to joining Irwin Mitchell, Mark was a Senior Solicitor at the Harrogate office of the National Healthcare Law Firm, Hempsons - one of only nine firms in the country which has a contract to represent the NHS Litigation Authority.

London-born James Thompson has worked in Medical Law since qualification five years ago, and has regularly acted in fatal claims for both adults and children. Anna Bosley trained as a solicitor in Leeds, and has also worked in Medical Law since qualification.
