Five-Day Hearing To Be Held
A jury inquest is due to begin on Monday March 7th to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 43 year old Warwickshire man.
At the time of his sudden death, businessman, Luigi Belcuore, from Morton Bagot, near Studley, known to family and friends as Louis, had been participating in a clinical trial involving knee surgery.
On 20th October 2009, whilst undergoing day surgery at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic and District Hospital NHS Trust in Oswestry, Mr Belcuore died.
HM Coroner for Shropshire, Mr John Ellery, will hold the five-day inquest hearing into Mr Belcuore’s death, starting at 10.00am on Monday 7th March 2011, at the Magistrates Court, Preston Street, Shrewsbury.
Victoria Blankstone, a medical negligence solicitor with law firm, Irwin Mitchell, who is representing Mr Belcuore’s family, said: “At the time of his death, Louis was a devoted husband and father to his two young children. His widow, Penny, who had their third child last year, very much hopes that the inquest will shed light on the circumstances which led to her husband's tragic death."
