

Investigations Begin Into Incident Close To Glastonbury
Experts have called for answers after the pilot of a helicopter suffered serious head injuries in a crash close to Glastonbury.
Avon and Somerset Police have revealed that the helicopter came down in a field in an open space on Sunday afternoon (June 19th).
Emergency services took the pilot to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol following the incident, while air accident investigators are thought to have visited the site to examine the scene. No one else was hurt in the crash.
Jim Morris, former RAF pilot and partner in Irwin Mitchell’s Aviation Law team, said authorities will need to carefully consider all aspects of the crash in order to discover what happened.
He explained: “Through our experience representing victims and the families of those injured in helicopter accidents around the world, we have seen the devastating impact that such incidents can have on so many people.
“As this terrible incident highlights, those involved in crashes often suffer devastating, life-changing injuries and require long-term treatment and rehabilitation in order to help overcome their problems.
“Investigators will no doubt need to consider a range of issues in relation to this crash, including whether any kind of mechanical failure may have contributed to the incident
“The prompt publication of the information gathered will ensure that lessons are learned which will assist in preventing this terrible crash from happening again.
