Three-Week Hearing Expected
An inquest is due to begin on Monday 7th February to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 30 year old Black Country woman.
Cheryl Flanagan from Bilston, near Wolverhampton, was in a fatal collision with a Midland Metro tram at ‘The Crescent’ tram stop, in Bilston, on 12 December 2003.
The jury inquest, which is listed as a three week hearing will be held before HM Coroner for Worcestershire Geraint Williams, at the Coroner’s Court in Stourport on Severn.
Hilary Wetherell, a solicitor with law firm, Irwin Mitchell, who is representing Miss Flanagan’s family, said: “Cheryl’s family have found it extremely hard to come to terms with what happened and very much hope their seven-year-long wait for answers is nearing an end and that the inquest investigation will finally shed light on the circumstances which led to her death.”
Mr Stephen Campbell, a barrister from No5 Chambers, has been instructed by Irwin Mitchell to represent the family at the inquest.
