Inquest Taking Place This Week

An inquest, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 61 year old Stafford Hospital patient is due to take place on Thursday 17th February 2011.

Alan Nash, also from Stafford, died after undergoing colonoscopy surgery on 19th March 2010.

HM Coroner for Staffordshire, Andrew Haigh, will hold the inquest at Cannock Coroner’s Court, starting at 10.30am.

Emma Rush, a medical law solicitor with law firm, Irwin Mitchell, who is representing the family, said: “Mr Nash’s widow and family have found it extremely hard to come to terms with what happened and very much hope that the inquest will shed light on the circumstances which led to his death.”
